AIMS & OBJECTS:

StadiumWatch will seek all suitable ways and means to achieve their aims & objects, through representation, participation and negotiation, recognising that discussion, conciliation, compromise and other action may well be required in varying measures at various times to be successful. StadiumWatch will be unrelenting in pursuit of these aims & objects.

Immediate Aims:

StadiumWatch require the SMC

  • To publish an acceptable Customers' Charter and be subjected to independent performance appraisal against it
  • To fulfil the Mayor's commitment and cabinet resolution DMBC Minutes: link to have the user clubs represented on the SMC on the "3 plus 1" Model
  • To keep to the promise of a permanent supporters' Sports Bar
  • To have bar and concourse pricing brought into line with surrounding establishments
  • To have the 250 per match complimentary tickets in the gift of the SMC surrendered to the club forthwith
  • To recognise the clubs and the fans as genuine partners in a community amenity
  • To have pricing of refreshments and amenities set to encourage greater community participation
  • To bring about greater effectiveness in the ticketing process, including better opening hours and more efficient service levels
  • To have the user clubs' crests featured at the entrance to the stadium
  • To have attendances independently verified on matchdays to prevent fraud
  • To have fair parking prices applied to all the user groups without discrimination
  • To have match-day stewards behave professionally, courteously and in a spirit of compromise to all fans at all times
  • To seek to maximise community involvement in all aspects of the sports complex, including in employment, decision making, and in delivering affordability to all groups
  • To adopt a genuine and binding public service ethos in dealing with its users
  • To be more open, accountable and responsive to the user clubs, their fans, other users and their representative organisations
 

StadiumWatch Objects:

  1. To represent the interests of the community of users of the Doncaster Lakeside Sports Complex, be they members of StadiumWatch, individuals, businesses, sporting clubs or societies, their supporters and/or their representatives, and affiliated organisations and groups.
  2. On behalf of the community of users, to lobby the relevant local authorities and other parties and organisations whether Trust, Business, Commercial, Public, Social or other legal structure, corporate or non-corporate, having any interest, including but not limited to a freehold, leasehold, financial, commercial, investment, trust, governing or other interest in the ownership and management of the Lakeside Sports Complex, including the Lakeside Sports Complex LLP, the Stadium Management Company, and/or successor organisations. These parties hereinafter referred to as the "Owner-Manager Entities".
  3. On behalf of the community of users to make representations to any party, group or owner-manager entities, or on behalf of, or act in concert or in co-operation with the community of users, or other parties, for the benefit and furtherance of the interests of the community of users, in availing themselves of the facilities and amenities, or for securing additional facilities or amenities and to ensure value for money and enhancement of the scope and breadth of facilities and amenities at the Lakeside Sports Complex, such facilities and amenities to include but not to be limited to, sporting, social or entertainment, participation, whether active or inactive, single or team activities, group attendance at such activities as spectators or participants, social attendance at bars, restaurants and refreshment outlets, as consumers or providers. These activities hereinafter referred to as "Sporting-Social-Entertainment Activities".
  4. To enquire into and obtain information as to the structure, financing, management, operation, employment or other relevant matter pertaining to the Lakeside Sports Complex and/or concerning the Owner-Manager Entities, potential owner-manager entities, or any other party had, having or potentially having any interest in the Lakeside Sports Complex or Owner-Manager Entities, whether individual, trust or corporate, employed, employing, contracted, sub-contracted, affiliated, related or connected parties, past, present or future.
  5. To lobby for and obtain formal representation and participation on any committee, group, Owner-Manager Entity, Board, Trust, or other body, involved in any way, shape or form, or having any interest in the Lakeside Sports Complex. Such representation and participation to be by a duly authorised and mandated officer of StadiumWatch.
  6. To survey, research or otherwise establish the views and opinions of the community of users in relation to any relevant matter concerning or pertaining to the Lakeside Sports Complex, including but not restricted to its ownership, financing, management, operation, the Owner-Manager Entities, facilities and amenities, pricing structures, sponsorship, merchandising, branding, marketing or other activity or scheme.
  7. To survey, research or otherwise establish the views and opinions of the community of users in relation to the management, conduct, financing, constitution, legal structure of StadiumWatch.
  8. To promote, advertise, market, advise, counsel, organise, lead, sponsor, finance, and encourage, all necessary individual, group or collective action in furtherance of its aims, whether they be the actions of StadiumWatch, its members, its affiliates, or kindred organisations or entities or individuals.
  9. To constitute a formal legal structure for StadiumWatch suitable to the furtherance of its aims and objects, establish membership, subscriber and affiliation schemes, and to raise and expend funds, for the attainment of its aims and objects with the power to establish, promote, and maintain any lawful fundraising scheme, funds and reserves.
  10. To operate a database and information retrieval system holding sufficient data and information on members, affiliates, and kindred organisations for the efficient management of the StadiumWatch and to facilitate effective and efficient communication therewith.
  11. To take steps incidental to the above mentioned objects
